Charles McCall — Obama-era Democrat, self-described ‘progressive,’ and donor to Democrats.
McCall now markets himself as a “lifelong conservative,” but Oklahoma voter registration records show he remained a registered Democrat until 2011 — meaning he was a Democrat when Barack Obama was elected and re-elected. He ran for Atoka City Council in 2004 describing himself as a “progressive.” Federal Election Commission and Oklahoma Ethics Commission filings show McCall donated more than $22,000 across his career to Democratic candidates including U.S. Senate candidate Brad Carson, Congressman Dan Boren, Governor Brad Henry, State Senator Sean Burrage, Paul Gumm ($7,000), Jeff Rabon, Scott Inman, and Paul Roan.
