McCall voted to help hide 25 sex-change procedures on Oklahoma children.
Speaker McCall voted for an emergency measure that allowed a taxpayer-funded hospital to conceal that 25 minor children were undergoing gender reassignment treatments. Even after this came to light, McCall and Senate leadership refused to hear HB 3240 and SB 676, bills that would have made it unlawful for any healthcare professional in Oklahoma to perform gender reassignment medical treatment on a person under 21. Lawmakers under McCall’s leadership then awarded an additional $39.4 million in funding to OU Children’s Hospital, which at the time openly promoted “gender-affirming” care for minors on its website.
